As a young, ambitious embedded developer with a strong sense of my own talent, I was determined to become a hardcore techie, and it took less than ten years for me to achieve this goal. Over the next few years, the experience and reality of leading multiple teams and large scale projects put me off leadership completely. I was busy with the business performance and value driven delivery. Several years later, I reached what I call the valley of despair. I realised that if one thing that’s driving the industries is not just the tools and technologies but it’s us the people. Now, I had the giant awakening in me to transform myself, the people and business all around the world.
Today, I can say that most technical employees are stifled and constrained in their jobs and not because management wants that but because they don’t know a better way of doing it. In fact, the old factory style leadership is causing deep productivity challenges and high turnover inside most tech companies. That’s the reason why we started eAge.
